Louis Armstrong Math Academy Mission
(formerly Millikan Math Academy)

The mission of the Louis Armstrong Math Academy is to offer enriched, rigorous learning opportunities through English, History, Math, and Science with an emphasis on advanced math. As a team of teachers working with a small learning community of students, we foster a love of learning and guide students as they develop stronger character and peer relations. Math Academy students actively participate in learning experiences, both in and out of the classroom through field trips and community service opportunities. Students graduate from the Math Academy on an accelerated math schedule, prepared for the rigors of high school honors classes, and have greater understanding and appreciation for the world around them.
