To provide our high level of education and experiences at the Math Academy, we are looking to maximize participation in our Annual Giving Campaign. This campaign is the Math Academy’s largest fundraiser of the year. The suggested donation is $500 per family, but we ask that you give what you can so we can reach 100% participation this year.

At the Louis Armstrong (formerly Millikan) Math Academy, we strive to provide your child with the best possible educational experiences enriched with the best teachers, technology, field trips and extracurricular activities.

The funds that are raised by the Math Academy’s Annual Giving Campaign help pay for items such as:
• Technology, including smart boards for all teachers and laptops
• Field trips and extracurricular activities to supplement learning
• Educational seminars/training for our teachers not paid for by LAUSD
• Community builders & activities for students & parents
• Classroom supplies
• And so much more to supplement the gap in funding from LAUSD

DID YOU KNOW? Many companies support causes that are important to their employees by matching their charitable contributions. It costs YOU nothing additional, but DOUBLES YOUR DONATION! So please speak with your employer to find out if they will match your donation or give us the information and we will speak to them for you.

FOMA calls on your generosity to support our students with a suggested donation of at least $500 per student. We understand that not all families are able to donate the suggested amount, but we urge you to give what you can because EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS!

Why is 100% participation so important? This shows support from all current parents and signals community involvement and a level of satisfaction you have for the Math Academy. We are all partners in our kids’ education and together we can make a difference.
2023 Giving Incentives
A token of our thanks for your generosity. Families donating at the full annual ask of $500+ will receive an exclusive, cozy Math Academy sherpa blanket and entry into a raffle for a $1000-2000 Pali Institute summer camp gift certificate. All donations of $25+ will receive a Math Academy car magnet.
